The past two weeks have flown by. My little bloke is now two weeks old and is doing beautifully. He is getting fat! The midwife visited today and she could see that he was a lot fatter than he was last week!

He is a lovely little baby. Everyone asks if he is a 'good baby'. Yes, he is good enough, we have decided to keep him! He is very demanding, likes to be held all day, feeds alot, gets cranky during witching hour, doesn't like his nappy being changed, doesn't sleep through the night or anything even resembling it and is just so bloody cute I can't believe it. Steve and I have quietly agreed that Callum is actually quite a lot cuter than Baden was. When we look at pictures of Baden when he was a newborn he doesn't look particularly cute. Of course we thought he was stunning at the time so maybe we're doing it again, lol.

Callum has such a sweet little face and a lovely wee nose. He is just adorable, I love him to bits and I am so glad he has come to join our family, I can't imagine life without him now. Steve is home on holidays and doing a great job of taking care of Baden and keeping us all fed while I just relax with my little baby, I hold him most of the day and feed him when he wants, plenty of time to worry about other things later. I am actually getting more sleep now than I have in MONTHS. Callum sleeps with me and will snuffle quietly at around 3am and I feed him laying down (an art I perfected with Baden!) and then we both go back to sleep, then he will do the same a few hours later. Steve is in the spare room for the moment and I have set the bed up according to the safety guidelines for co-sleeping. I have his bassinette next to our bed but that is too far away, I like my babies close!

Baden is still madly in love with his baby brother. He tells me that Callum is his favourite baby. He was supposed to go back to preschool today but we kept him home. We weren't doing anything in particular anyway. He finally has his bedroom to himself, we moved the computer and the spare drawers out and we will paint it and recarpet it as soon as we get around to it.

I am going out tomorrow to meet the girls for lunch and I am really looking forward to it. It will be my first outing on my own with the new pram. eeek. So far every time I have set it up I have stuffed it up and had to do it again, so fingers crossed I have finally figured it out.
