The other night I had a few niggles, some back pain and lots and lots of very strong braxton hicks. I told Steve that tonight could possibly be the night that our son was joining us. Well, nothing happened of course, and the next day I was back to normal.
A very wise woman just told me that more babies are born on the night of the full moon than any other night and maternity units often put on more staff on those nights. She said its common to experience braxton hicks and niggles and to think you are in labour when there is a full moon.
Well, guess what...yep, that was the night. How amazing and freaky! The moon does have an influence on fertility so I guess its not surprising but to have actually experienced it is quite...cool I suppose.
Next full moon isn't till the 16th December! Better get comfy then I guess.
