I have had a busy week this past week so I haven't written much. Tafe has been okay, I actually learned something, although its only the Friday morning class that has anything useful to me. All the other lessons are just fluffing out the qualification, so its stuff I have learnt over the past 20 years in the workforce anyway. So its a bit boring. Oh - the Monday afternoon class is quite interesting. Its all about hardware and taking computers to bits and putting them back together. The Monday morning class kills me and I couldn't go last week, I just couldn't do it to myself. The exemption test is coming up soon.

Knitting-wise I have nearly finished my submission for the Easter Show in the category of "Child's Pullover". I had to unpick it a few times because I want it to be the best I can do, even though I am not expecting to win. Its a different one than what I started.

I have started my other submission, which is "Baby's jacket" about fifty million times (approximately, lol). I am finding it very frustrating and am wondering why I entered that category since I have actually never really knitted a baby's jacket before!!! I have made a couple of cardigans, but I haven't knitted lace very often and it really needs to have a lace component to be a Baby's jacket, if you ask me.

But anyway, I have started one, called the February Baby Jacket, by Elizabeth Zimmerman, its got heaps of mistakes in it and its only just started, ha ha. Its cute though and I don't care if its got a few mistakes in this one. If I get time I will use this one for practice and knit another before the Show.

Although, to be honest, I am bloody sick of knitting for the Show and can't wait to finish so I can knit something else, like my cable cardigan. I like to have a few projects on at once, but at the moment I can't do that because the deadline is looming and I am not finished my entries yet so I am being very disciplined.

I am whingeing about it but I am thinking of entering in the local show as well. Dunno what yet, I will wait and make sure I actually get my submissions to the Easter show. Walk before I run (for once!). If I didn't knit everything twice over it would be more fun, but its all a learning experience anyway.
