I have decided what I am going to make for my Easter Show project. I was going through my rather extensive stash of wool today to see if there is anything suitable to use, and of course there is nothing that is just right to match the vision in my head but really, I have so much wool, so so so so much, that I can't, in good conscience bring any more wool into this house (excluding the knitabulous sock yarn I ordered yesterday, I am talking about from today onwards, heh).

I have three different areas in the house stuffed full of wool. I have a very large wooden chest in the ensuite shower (that has been redesignated as a storage area because we never use the shower anyway). I have two cupboards in the lounge room stuffed full, plus another plastic tub stuffed full, two tafe bags stuffed full and a box under the coffee table stuffed full.

So I am just going to HAVE to use what I have got.

Alot of my wool is pink because pink is my favourite colour and I gravitate to it like a moth to a flame. But pink is no good for my project because I am designing a dinosaur/dragon type jumper and they aren't pink. And I want Baden to be able to wear it afterwards so I need something a bit more boyish.

I also have ALOT of unfinished projects:

One purple cardigan "Ivy" - knitted top down, sleeves to finish and button band to add
One teal blue cable cardigan - back and sleeves done, front to do
One purple and green infant jumper - front and back done, sleeves to do
One angora cream kimono - sleeves to do
One grey train jumper - finish back/front (knitted in one piece) and knit sleeves
One Iggle Piggle jumper - unpick and re-use yarn (bit of a fizzer and I don't like it anymore)
One dark blue flecked cowl neck jumper - knit the cowl neck, that's all it needs
One pair of Embossed Leaves socks - about eight rows of lace pattern and then toe on one sock left to do but I have lost my place on the lace chart.

There could be more projects around here somewhere, in fact I am sure there are...oh yes, just remembered one

One pink flecked February Baby jacket - about three inches of lace pattern to go
One watermelon baby cardigan - button band to go, that's it
Boheme baby jumper - buttons, that's it.

Okay, that was another three.

There are probably more...

oh yes,

One cotton pinwheel baby blanket - will probably be abandoned, too big a job, can't be bothered
One purple baby jumper with fluffy dog face - needs shoulder button band

oh, and of course

One 'Arwen' cardigan - have knitted the back and alot of the front - will abandon this and re-use yarn. Its too fiddly and I have forgotten how to do the cable now.

How embarassing to see them all in a list like this! Much better when the are stuffed away at the bottom of the cupboard!
