I am back in the land of the living. What a marathon that turned out to be. I lost four kilos. Not a weight loss method I would recommend.
So...not much has been happening around here lately. Our pool is green, our lawn is grown, the whole house needs to be Glen20'd and steam mopped and a mountain of washing needs to be done.
So I did some sewing instead, ha ha ha ha.
I made this little elephant applique on this onesie. I totally ripped the idea off a present that Callum received and it was my favourite outfit of his for ages, it came with that little giraffe toy mentioned previously so that makes both parts of that present that I have flogged the idea from!
I love applique, I always wanted to learn it. It is so easy too. This little elephant applique took me about fifteen minutes from start to finish and that is including cutting out the paper shape and everything. I think it is SO cute! The little onesie was on sale, two for ten bucks, so I have another one to come up with something for as well. The sewing around it is a little bit, um, 'rustic', but I don't mind that, it makes it look handmade and a bit spesh. I just used the satin stitch (I think), the really close zig zag stitch anyway. Its not too bad, I just need a bit of practice.
