One of the happiest days of my life. My first baby had arrived - I was finally a mother, lol.

Learning some good manners.

And some bad habits

Happy Birthday Apple, my sweet little fur-baby. I can't believe its been five years since you were born.

I didn't meet you till eight weeks later of course, but I found you when you were three weeks old.

I rang eleven breeders till I found one that had puppies available. Apple flew all the way down from Queensland, on her own. I remember going to pick her up from the airport. I was so excited, I was shaking. I had been waiting five long weeks, but the real wait was much longer because I had always wanted a little dog but was never in the right place in my life to be able to get one. I was very excited that the time had finally come.

After a sleepless night I drove to the airport and I waited at the counter. The man put a crate on the counter and said "is this yours?" and my heart skipped a beat. I looked inside and saw...a cat.
I said "no".
And I kept waiting, and then finally, a crate came out that contained the most beautiful little white westie puppy that I have ever seen. My Apple. My darling Apple.
