The top photo is of the sunlounger being used and enjoyed. We have spent a lot of time in the pool during the past week and its been fantastic. Baden is a real water rat, a bit like I used to be. We throw him around and he goes under and everything. He is learning to swim to the side and make his way around to the steps and is learning to use his arms to dog paddle.
The other photo is what happens when Baden gets hold of the scissors. Steve only bought that fly screen thing last week. Luckily we chose the ugly cheap one so it was only six dollars.
The toilet seems to have unblocked itself. I am not a fan of doing nothing but this time it seems to have worked.
The toilet training is still going awesomely. I won't post anymore after this because I am sure its one of those things that is only interesting to the child's mother, but as a last word I will just write that I was very worried about how to go about getting Baden to do 'number twos' on the loo, but I needn't have worried because yesterday I got a request to help him up on to the loo. I couldn't understand it at first because it was a bit convoluted, and I think I actually even missed the request the night before because I was being impatient and not in the mood to figure it out (yes, I feel bad). Anyway, its all sorted, so now I have to track down one of those little seats that sits over the top and has the steps.
Talking is coming along, lots of sentences and new words every day. I just wanted to share the following conversation because I will always remember it:
Baden hopped onto my lap and accidentally kicked me in the stomach. I said "owwww you kicked me right in the guts"
Baden: "guts?"
Me: "yes, guts...here" (pointing to my stomach)
Baden: "hair" (points to my head)
Me: "yes, that is my hair, but my guts is here"
Baden: "no mummy - viff Hair!" (strokes my hair)
Me: "Yes, that's my hair, but I mean 'here' not 'hair"
Baden: "hair?" (still stroking my hair).
Me: "oh never mind, yep hair".
