A little owl. I am not loving the workmanship on this, I really need that applique foot. The trouble with the satin stitch is that once you start you are pretty much committed because if you unpick it it makes a terrible holey mess. He's cute enough though.

I haven't been doing much sewing in the past week. I have been painting my pavers outside and I have had a few friends over and it has also been pretty hot so I have been in my bedroom sitting in the air con, knitting. We have air con in the living room as well but that's an old rattler and the room is bigger so it takes longer, the one in the bedroom is new and powerful and the room is smaller so I don't feel so guilty! I recorded My Kitchen Rules so I have been catching up on that while I knit when Callum naps next to me.

I have started one of my Easter Show projects. I feel a bit half hearted about it this year, my friend Donna isn't going in it this year because the people who take down the displays absolutely wreck people's projects and I don't blame you Donna. It's still a shame though :(

I also missed putting one of the ladies from knitting group's entry in, so its all a bit unexciting now. I missed knitting group one week because of a uni workshop and then I couldn't get hold of her to make sure she still wanted to go in. I didn't know what category she had decided on because she was umming and aahing about it the week before. I even rang her son on his mobile to try and get hold of her, but all to no avail so she missed out.

I definitely don't have my 'knitting mojo' back but since Baden has grown like a weed this year he doesn't have any jumpers that fit him anymore so at least he will have one. I entered into the Accessories category as well and was going to make a pair of socks, but I will take that as it comes.
